Have questions about your Aroma roaster oven? Here are some of the most common topics our customers ask about:
Can I open the lid while the roaster oven is cooking?
We don’t recommend it. Opening the lid causes heat to escape, which can result in longer cook times or uneven cooking. Most recipes do not require stirring or turning in a roaster oven.
Can I cook frozen foods in my roaster oven?
No, we recommend thawing foods completely before cooking. Frozen meats may not cook evenly and could pose food safety risks. Some models include a Defrost function for gentle thawing only — not for cooking directly from frozen.
Can I use an oven bag in my roaster oven?
We don’t recommend it. Oven bags may not hold up well in the roaster oven environment and could present a melting or fire risk.
Can I melt wax or other non-food materials in my roaster oven?
No. Your roaster oven is intended for cooking food only. Melting wax or other substances may damage the appliance and void the warranty.
Can I use the Warm setting to reheat food?
No — the Warm function is meant for holding food at a serving temperature after it has already been cooked. Do not use it to reheat cold or undercooked food, as it may not reach safe temperatures.
Why is there smoke or a strange odor during first use?
This is normal. During the first use, manufacturing residue may burn off. To reduce this effect, follow the Before First Use steps in your product manual by heating the empty unit before cooking food.
Where can I find my roaster oven’s model number?
Check the silver manufacturer’s sticker on the back or bottom of your unit. Roaster oven model numbers typically begin with “ART-” followed by letters or numbers.
